The Life Of The Buddha [Full BBC Documentary- HQ] with English/Greek/Catalan Subs Video Clips. Duration : 49.95 Mins.

This documentary covers the life of Siddhartha Gautama, a young prince from India who went out to find the reason for "Dukkha" [problems] of human life. He later found the reason of Dukkha and teached a way to live life. He was later known as the Buddha, the founder of "Buddhism". The religion with no god. "If there is any religion that would cope with modern scientific needs it would be Buddhism." -Albert Einstein BBC had a nice documentary covering Buddha's life important events. Watch the full documentary before commenting. BBC has not made anything wrong. They had specified that Buddha was born in Lumbini which is Nepal. Don't argue the documentary made to understand the philosophy and teachings of Buddha, no matter where he was born. Buddhism is way far ahead than what people are arguing here. Do not believe in something because you are told to. Do not believe in something because a holy person said it. Do not believe in something because you read it from a book. Follow and practice the teaching without prejudice. If it brings happiness to you and others and does not encourage self harm or harm to others then follow it. Although this was taught by buddha, I believe it is a beautiful principle that can be applied to everything we learn in life. May you all be happy. Life of Buddha documentary is available with English, Greek and Catalan Subtitles. Copyrights of the video belongs to BBC. Uploaded only to share the knowledge. Be Happy! Peace! How to Survive the Titanic or The Sinking of J. Bruce Ismay by Frances Wilson - book trailer

How to Survive the Titanic or The Sinking of J. Bruce Ismay by Frances Wilson - book trailer Tube. Duration : 2.03 Mins.

www.bloomsbury.com Books have been written, films made; we have raised the Titanic and watched her go down again on numerous occasions, but out of the wreckage Frances Wilson spins a new epic: when the ship hit the iceberg on 14 April 1912 and a thousand men prepared to die, J Bruce Ismay, the ship's owner and inheritor of the White Star fortune, jumped into a lifeboat with the women and children and rowed away to safety. Accused of cowardice, Ismay became, according to one headline, 'The Most Talked-of Man in the World'. The first victim of a press hate campaign, his reputation never recovered and while other survivors were piecing together their accounts, Ismay never spoke of his beloved ship again. With the help of that great narrator of the sea, Joseph Conrad, whose Lord Jim so uncannily predicted Ismay's fate -- and whose manuscript of the story of a man who impulsively betrays a code of honour and lives on under the strain of intolerable guilt went down with the Titanic -- Frances Wilson explores the reasons behind Ismay's jump, his desperate need to make sense of the horror of it all, and to find a way of living with lost honour. For those who survived the Titanic the world was never the same again. But as Wilson superbly demonstrates, we all have our own Titanics, and we all need to find ways of surviving them.

Chronicles of Narnia - Proof CS Lewis Was Not A Christian By His Own Words - Part 1 Video Clips. Duration : 14.63 Mins.

Contending for Truth - Dr. Scott Johnson www.contendingfortruth.com Today CS Lewis is revered by many "Christians" as a master of Christian apologetics. He was the author of 40+ books which included poems, novels, children's books, science fiction, theology, literary criticisms, educational philosophy and an autobiography. In his book "Mere Christianity" pp. 176-177 he wrote: 'There are people in other religions who are being led by God's secret influence to concentrate on those parts of their religion which are in agreement with Christianity, and who thus belong to Christ without knowing it ...Many of the good Pagans long before Christ's birth may have been in this position'. In a previous issue of Christianity Today (6/15/98, p.30) Millet, dean of Brigham Young University, is quoted as saying that CS Lewis 'is so well received by Latter-day Saints [Mormons] because of his broad and inclusive vision of Christianity' In Letters to Malcolm (p. 107), Lewis indicates that shortly before his death he termed himself 'very Catholic' — his prayers for the dead, belief in purgatory, and rejection of the literal resurrection of the body are serious deviations from Biblical Christianity (CS Lewis: A Biography, p. 234); he even went to a priest for regular confession (p. 198), and received the sacrament of extreme unction on 7/16/63 (p. 301). His contention that 'Christ fulfils both Paganism and Judaism ...' is extremely unscriptural. (Reflections on the Psalms, p.129). He also ...
